The leather tanning industry in the 18th century. Grasse in the south of France flourished as a famous perfume producing region, as leather products were scented to hide the distinctive smell of leather. This sophisticated unisex fragrance with a leathery tone was inspired by the leather tanners of the region.

Glasse in southern France flourished as a well-known source of perfume because they perfumed leather products to mask the peculiar smell. Our Tanner is leathery, sophisticated and unisex scent inspired by the local tanner in those days.

The brand creates fragrances influenced by traditional perfumes, herbal medicine culture, natural philosophy, food, music, and art from around the world, and expresses the world of the brand by incorporating the traditional Japanese attention to detail and subtlety into modern design. All APFR home fragrances are produced by hand in our own factory, and all ingredients are carefully selected by us and our raw material partners.
