The design is based on the GEL-KAYANO 14, which won the International Editor's Choice award from the American running magazine RUNNER'S WORLD in 2008.
While incorporating design elements seen in the 2000s, such as a voluminous silhouette created by using appropriate materials in different areas, the shoes retain the signature features and structure of the GEL-KAYANO series, such as the shock-absorbing GEL technology in the midsole. The upper material and fit have also been updated for everyday use.
